Ali Abdulrahman Abumunyar has been a university lecturer since 2012, teaching various and diverse courses within his field of specialization. He has also supervised graduation projects for a number of students. In 2020, he was appointed Head of the Sharia Department at the Faculty of Sharia Sciences. In 2021, he assumed the position of Head of the Study and Examinations Department at the Faculty of Sharia Sciences in Souq Al-Jumaa. During the academic year 2025–2026, he served as a faculty member at the Faculty of Sharia, University of Sharia Sciences, and as Head of the Study and Examinations Department at the Faculty of Usul al-Din at the same university. In addition to that, he undertakes numerous and diverse responsibilities within the faculty.
