The First Libyan Universities Forum / University of Tripoli

Organized by the University of Sharia Sciences – Souq al-Jum’a, and the Faculty of Arts, the forum will be held on May 25th and 26th, 2021, at the University of Tripoli, under the title:

“National Reconciliation Towards One Homeland and One Libyan Nation”

Vision:

• Establishing the foundations of national reconciliation through academic institutions.

Mission:

• Spreading a culture of reconciliation among the components of Libyan society, and unifying national efforts to achieve prosperity, stability, and peace in Libya.

Objectives:

• Activating the role of academic institutions in serving national reconciliation.
• Rejecting hate speech and condemning violence and extremism.
• Achieving the principle of justice and spreading a culture of coexistence and tolerance.
• Working to create a suitable environment for achieving peace and security.
• Emphasizing the role of the humanities in addressing societal issues.

• The role of legal professionals in establishing the principle of national reconciliation.
• Mechanisms for supporting political solutions that lead to national reconciliation.
• The role of Islamic studies in disseminating the principle of a culture of national reconciliation.
