University organizational structure
The University Council shall undertake the following:
- Contributing to linking the university with community issues and addressing social problems that fall within the scope of the university.
- Proposing general plans and programs for the development of the university.
- Proposal to award scientific excellence prizes to professors, students, colleges and scientific departments at the university.
- Approval to grant honorary degrees.
- Contributing to maintaining the university's reputation and supporting its standing.

University work system
The university operates in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Regulation (510) of 1910, and the General People’s Committee Resolution No. (99) of 1911 regarding the organizational structure of universities and higher education institutions.
