Faculty Affairs Administration

The administration is responsible for all matters related to faculty members and for taking the necessary measures to overcome the difficulties they face in their work so that they can perform their teaching and research duties to the fullest extent. This administration carries out its duties to the fullest extent to facilitate the educational process.

  • Providing outstanding services to faculty members in a way that attracts, motivates, develops, and retains the best talent.
  • Contributing to and raising the level of teaching, and qualifying faculty members at the university to high and specialized levels by providing training courses and nominating them for scholarships to achieve high academic degrees and participate in conferences, seminars and workshops.
  • Documenting the relationship between faculty members, staff, and university administration
  • To facilitate and improve administrative, financial, and service procedures for all university faculty members and achieve quality performance.
  • Providing a fair regulatory environment built on clarity and transparency.
  • Creating a database for all university faculty members.
  • Strengthening the relationships between faculty and staff and facilitating communication between them.
  • To consolidate the use of modern technology and electronic services for faculty members to facilitate their communication with the university and with all scientific and academic institutions in the world.

Tasks and responsibilities of the department

The Higher Education Regulations define the tasks and responsibilities of this department, assigning it the task of handling procedures related to faculty members and taking necessary measures to overcome any difficulties they face in their work, enabling them to perform their teaching and research duties to the fullest extent. This department carries out its duties through the following offices:

1- Office of National Faculty Affairs

The office is responsible for the following:
  • Managing the affairs of national faculty members and overcoming the difficulties they face, and proposing the foundations and controls within their performance of their duties and responsibilities at the university.
  • Monitoring the scientific activities of faculty members and preparing reports on the studies and research they conduct, and completing the procedures for evaluating them.
  • Organizing and facilitating the participation of faculty members in seminars and scientific conferences both domestically and internationally.
  • The administration undertakes to employ faculty members from outside the university for teaching and training work.
  • Preparing the job description for faculty members.
  • Save the main files for faculty members and all matters related to them, with a separate sub-file for the colleges.

2 - Office of Non-National Faculty Affairs

The office is responsible for the following:
  • Taking charge of the contracts of non-national faculty members and the procedures for concluding them, evaluating their academic and educational status, and preparing the necessary reports about them in coordination with the relevant colleges and academic departments.
  • Assistance in taking measures for the attendance, reception, accommodation and departure of visiting professors and examiners to facilitate their performance of their scientific tasks.
  • Monitoring their scientific activities, preparing reports on the studies and research they conduct, evaluating them, and organizing their participation in scientific seminars and conferences both domestically and internationally.

3- Faculty Housing Office

The office is responsible for the following:
  • Providing and equipping suitable housing for faculty members to enable them to settle down and create a suitable scientific environment for research and creativity.
  • Receiving faculty members in university housing and enabling them to reside therein according to the regulations set by the university council.
  • To supervise university housing, monitor maintenance work, and report any defects or malfunctions to the relevant university authority for repair.
  • Contacting and coordinating with the relevant authorities regarding obtaining land plots or housing units for distribution to them according to regulations and conditions set by the University Council.
