Student Activities Administration
University activity is considered important and parallel to the educational process because of its great positive impact on the student and on the educational institution to improve it, show it and represent it in the best possible way.
University student activities are an important aspect of education due to the significant role they play in shaping and developing the student's personality in its various intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions. These activities work to break down barriers and traditional relationships between professors and students in classrooms through the diverse situations in which students participate.
The Student Activities Department is responsible for preparing student activity plans in the religious, cultural, literary, artistic and sports fields, and organizing festivals, camps, exhibitions, competitions and university days.
The administration forms and nurtures teams in various fields to discover and develop talents, foster team spirit and collaboration, and support positive competition and excellence, thereby adding value to university academic achievement. The administration exercises its functions through the following two offices:
1- The Student Cultural Activities Office, which is responsible for the following:
- Preparing and presenting plans related to student activities at the university.
- Preparing timetables for implementing approved plans, taking into account study schedules, exams, and holidays.
- Designing, distributing, filling out, and analyzing forms with the aim of identifying, nurturing, and encouraging talents in various fields.
- Organizing festivals with the participation of colleges within the university and with the participation of other national universities.
- Organizing art exhibitions for talented students in various fields, as well as for faculty members.
- Participating in university days and camps.
- Organizing religious, intellectual, literary and cultural competitions in the fields of Quran memorization, oratory, narration, short story, poetry, essay, scientific papers, and the like, and distributing honorary prizes to the winners.
- Reviving religious and national occasions by organizing literary, cultural and artistic events in coordination with relevant units.
- Proposing and organizing participation in literary, cultural and artistic forums between universities at the regional and international levels.
- Proposal to print, publish and distribute outstanding works from competitions, cultural festivals and artistic performances.
- Preparing periodic reports on the office's activities.
2- The Student Sports Activity Office, which is responsible for the following:
- Preparing presentations of plans related to student sports activities at the university.
- Preparing timetables for implementing approved plans, taking into account study schedules, exams, and holidays.
- Designing, distributing, filling out, and analyzing forms with the aim of identifying, nurturing, and encouraging talent in various sports fields.
- Organizing festivals and competitions with the participation of colleges within the university and with the participation of universities.
- Forming teams in various sports, and assigning coaches to organize them, refine the skills of their members, and provide them with the necessary sports clothing and equipment.
- Organizing various sports leagues and distributing awards to the winners.
- Reviving religious and national occasions through organizing sporting events.
- Proposing and organizing university days, camps and related activities.
- Proposing and organizing participation in inter-university sports events at the regional and international levels.
- Preparing periodic reports on the office's activities.
- Other similar tasks assigned to the office.
