The General Administration of Libraries and Publications is responsible for providing books, references, periodicals, and scientific journals, and for organizing the use of university libraries by providing all publications, information centers, and various publications.

The administration exercises its powers through the following administrative offices:

This office is responsible for implementing technical systems related to library management, including book classification and cataloging, managing lending, and monitoring new publications. It also works to equip libraries with appropriate resources, maintains and supervises study halls to provide a conducive environment for reading, and offers suggestions for improving library services. Furthermore, it prepares detailed statistics on book circulation within the library, and participates in and benefits from book fairs. The office also oversees the university's book storage facilities and ensures the availability of all new publications.
This office specializes in identifying the libraries' needs for books, publications, references, and scientific journals, and in carrying out all procedures related to accreditation, customs clearance, and documentation of all supplies. It also participates in local and international exhibitions and identifies and utilizes all scientific publications.
The Printing and Publishing Office is responsible for implementing research programs, submitting related proposals, and monitoring the committees formed to implement these programs. It also oversees the editing and authorship of books. Furthermore, it reviews evaluation committees, submits proposals to encourage research and authorship, and monitors the authorship process. This includes receiving manuscripts, printing and publishing them, and overseeing their marketing both within and outside the university. The office also proposes financial rewards for research and publishing activities in accordance with regulations.

Director of the Library Affairs Office

It is responsible for overseeing library affairs, including supplying books and all necessary resources, and preparing the required statistics on book movement within the library. In addition, it supervises study halls and provides them with the necessary supplies. It also monitors all new books published by various publishing houses, oversees the work of the book procurement, purchasing, and printing committee, and manages related tenders.

Director of the Printing and Publishing Office

It is responsible for publishing, printing, and research tasks, monitoring the writing and publishing process, and collecting manuscripts from authors. It also oversees the publication, printing, and marketing of scientific journals, and proposes financial rewards for research and writing work in accordance with regulations. Furthermore, it follows up on the decisions of the University Textbook Committee, which is responsible for receiving, publishing, and printing manuscripts.

Supply and Distribution Office

It is responsible for identifying the libraries' needs for books and scientific references, and undertaking all procedures related to providing the libraries with their book and publication needs. This also includes opening lines of credit for supplying these needs and handling customs clearance.

Systems Supervisor in the Administration

It is responsible for monitoring systems and computers and performing periodic maintenance on them, and working to develop the office service by developing the systems.

Supervisor of Book and Publications Warehouses

It is responsible for receiving books and publications, conducting the necessary paperwork within the warehouses, and monitoring the disbursement of books and publications according to administrative procedures.

Central Library

The central library occupies a special place in the university, due to the services it provides to students, professors, and researchers. It assists students in obtaining sources and references that help them acquire information that serves their studies and aids in their self-education. It also assists professors in carrying out their duties and mission in teaching and scientific research, and the books it contains are comprehensive.

Sub-libraries

In its desire to provide access to information and offer better services to faculty members, students, and researchers, the university provides services to the following colleges:

Islamic law, theology, and Quranic readings.

The central library supplies these libraries with collections of various books and references, arranging them categorized and stored in their designated areas.
