Duties
After more than three years as a lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia Sciences – Souq al-Jum’ah, Dr. Khamis Abdullah Al-Najih, a faculty member, now works full-time as a lecturer at the same faculty. He supervises the graduation projects of fourth-year students and served on the research review committee for the conference: “Contemporary Atheism: Causes and Ways to Confront It,” December 2022.
Career Path
Before joining the University of Tripoli, Dr. Khamis Abdullah Al-Najih graduated from Suqur Al-Fida’ Secondary School in the Andalus neighborhood in 1982. He completed his undergraduate studies at Al-Asmariya University for Islamic Sciences in Zliten, majoring in Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion, graduating in 2001. He then continued his studies, completing his Master’s degree at the same university in 2008. He then pursued doctoral studies. Year: 2010 CE, and he received his degree in 2019 CE. During this period, he worked at the Preparatory Institute of the College of Islamic Call, teaching Arabic for two years.
Then, he worked as a collaborator at the College of Islamic Call from the academic year 2019 CE to 2023 CE.
Research Interests
Dr. Khamis Abdullah Al-Najih has worked on several research projects, including: Publishing a peer-reviewed article in the Journal of the College of Islamic Call, Issue 35, entitled: “Imam Ibn Abd Al-Barr’s Defense of Hadiths Narrated by Imam Malik That Imam Muslim Deemed Weak in His Book ‘Al-Tamyiz’ – Methodology According to the Two Imams and Preference –” in 2021 CE.
Publishing a peer-reviewed article in Al-Tibyan Journal, Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli, Libya, Issue 14, entitled: “The Impact of Humor on the Integrity of the Narrator According to Hadith Critics,” September 2022 CE.
Publishing a peer-reviewed article in the University Forum Journal, Faculty of Arts. Bani Walid, titled: “The Narration of a Trustworthy Narrator about His Trustworthy Teacher: Between the Teacher’s Denial or Forgetfulness – Collection, Study, and Analysis –” Issue: Thirty. September 2022.
External Activities
Throughout his student years, until his appointment at the University of Tripoli, Dr. Khamis Abdullah Al-Najih engaged in several educational activities, including, but not limited to: teaching the Holy Quran at the Abdul Salam Al-Sharif Mosque from 1982 to 1988; serving as a judge in the Quranic and Hadith competition held by the College of Islamic Call in 2021; and serving as a judge in the Quranic competition held by the University of Tripoli, Libya, in April 2022.
