Responsibilities

Abdul-Raouf Al-Imam works full-time as a Teaching Assistant at the College of Sharia Sciences – Souq Al-Juma. He serves as a lecturer of the Qur’an for the entire college, covering all four academic years for both the Department of Theology and the Department of Sharia.

He also supervises graduation projects for fourth-year students and works as a researcher in Qur’anic studies and its sciences.

Professional Career

Before joining the University of Tripoli, Abdul-Raouf Al-Imam completed his higher studies at the University of Tripoli, College of Arts, earning a Master’s degree in 2017.

He had previously graduated from the Open University with a Bachelor’s degree in 2004.

He then worked in several schools, teaching all grade levels.

Research Interests

Abdul-Raouf has prepared numerous research papers in his field of specialization, both during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and as a faculty member at the College of Sharia Sciences in Souq Al-Juma.

External Activities

Since the age of seventeen, Abdul-Raouf Al-Imam has served as a Qur’an teacher intermittently up to the present, in various mosques and locations.

He has received several certifications in Qur’an memorization and teaching, including a teaching license for the Qur’an in the Qira’a of Qalon according to Nafi’ Al-Madani in 1990, and a full Qur’an memorization license in the Qira’a of Qalon according to Nafi’ Al-Madani in 1999 from Tariq Bin Ziyad Mosque, Ghout Al-Shaal – Tripoli. He has also participated in reciting complete Qur’an sessions organized by the Libyan Qur’an Radio in cooperation with the Awqaf of Hay Al-Andalus.
